Man shot in back, two others injured in shooting at Rum Monkeys Bar

JEFFERSON HILLS, PA – On November 24, 2021 at 1:32 am, Jefferson Hills Police were called to 1617 State Street, Rum Monkeys Bar, for a shooting. When police and paramedics arrived, they found a 33-year-old male shot in the back; additionally, a 23-year-old male and a 25-year-old male were both injured from bullet fragments. The 33-year-old-male was transported to an area hospital in critical but stable condition. The other two males were transported to hospitals and were treated and released.

County Police and Jefferson Hills Police initiated an investigation. Detectives determined a fight occurred inside the bar between the three males, during the fight one of the individuals produced a firearm and shots were fired. At the conclusion of the investigation the facts will be turned over to the District Attorney’s office for a charging decision.
