Rand Paul wants Anthony Fauci in jail for lying to Congress, but knows Garland more worried about “mom terrorists”

U.S. Senator Rand Paul is angry. He’s upset because Dr. Anthony Fauci lied to Congress and U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland is more worried about moms and dads speaking out at school board meetings than people lying under oath to Congress.

Paul claims Fauci lied before Congress when he said that the National Institute for Allergies and Infectious Diseases did not perform gain of function research at the Wuhan Laboratory, where it is suspected that the COVID-19 virus originated.

The Senator said Fauci’s testimony was referred to the Department of Justice, but he said he’s not confident that the department will objectively look at the accusations. He said the nation’s top doctor should be put in jail for five years for lying in front of Congress.

“We’ve referred him to the Department of Justice, but then again, Merrick Garland is the one now going after parents that go to school board meetings,” Paul said. “So I don’t have a lot of hope that Merrick Garland is objectively looking at Fauci’s lying. Fauci should go to prison for five years for lying to Congress.”

The origin of the COVID-19 virus is in dispute as China continues to refuse to work openly with the U.S. and the World Health Order to determine the virus’ origin. Fauci still contends that the NIH did not fund any gain of function research of the COVID-19 virus in the Wuhan lab.

A Wall Street Journal report claims that the NIH did indeed fund gain of function research at the lab.
