$50,000 Winning Powerball Double Play Ticket Sold in Salisbury

SALISBURY, MARYLAND – Although no one won the $280 millionPowerballjackpot Monday night, a lucky player did find $50,000 worth of winnings on a ticket with theDouble Playfeature.

The player bought the lucky ticket at Naylor Food Mart, located at 1101 North Salisbury Boulevard in Salisbury. The winningDouble Playnumbers in the Dec. 6 drawing were 8, 15, 27, 55 and 66; thePowerballwas 17.

This is the third third-tier winningDouble Playticket sold in Maryland since the newPowerballgame feature launched in August. Maryland also had the nation’s first $10 million top-prize winningDouble Playticket, which was sold in the Sept. 27 drawing. That prize is still unclaimed.

Players can addDouble Playfor $1 to their tickets and have their numbers entered in a second drawing that follows the regular drawing. The prize structure forDouble Playranges from a fixed $10 million top prize down to $7.

Lottery officials encourage the winner to sign the back of the ticket immediately and put it in a safe location. Winners get 182 days from the date of a drawing to claim prizes.

ThePowerballjackpot continues on its roll and is set for $291 million for the Wednesday, Dec. 8 drawing. The cash option is $213 million.
