Laredo Sector Border Patrol Agents Halt Two Human Smuggling Attempts

LAREDO, Texas – Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to the Laredo North Station stopped a pair of human smuggling attempts north of Laredo, Texas.

The first incident occurred on Dec. 10, when agents conducted a vehicle stop of a maroon pickup truck near the 32-mile marker of Interstate Highway 35.  Agents arrested six undocumented individuals from the countries of Guatemala and Mexico, who were being smuggled inside the pickup truck.

The next day, agents detected several individuals in a ranch north of the Interstate Highway 35 checkpoint.  Agents apprehended eight undocumented individuals from the countries of Guatemala and Mexico.
