In what is perhaps one of the vilest and disgusting attacks by the liberal left against Florida Governor Ron De Santis, the left has unleashed an all-out assault on the Florida governor for being ‘missing in action’ and ‘on vacation’ while COVID-19 cases once again surge across his state.

One of the first on the left to attack De Santis was New York Congresswoman Sandy Cortez. Cortez, who is spending the New Year in Miami, Florida with her apparently Amish boyfriend slammed De Santis for not being visible to the public over the past few days after De Santis welcomed her to Florida.

“Hasn’t Gov. DeSantis been inexplicably missing for like 2 weeks? If he’s around, I would be happy to say hello,” Cortez said. “His social media team seems to have been posting old photos for weeks. In the meantime, perhaps I could help with local organizing. Folks are quite receptive here :)”

It turns out, that De Santis has been caring for his cancer-stricken wife Casey as she continues her battle against breast cancer during the holiday omicron surge.

MSNBC host Joy Reid launched an attack against De Santis during his wife’s time of illness, “A governor, not governing during a crisis; and sunning his belly on vacation instead. @GovRonDeSantis is the Nero of Ted Cruzes.”

Reid did not mention New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy who took a weeklong family vacation to Costa Rica during the most recent outbreak, maintaining radio silence for seven days as the state reaches new outbreak records each day.

“Governor De Santis has a wife and 3 kids ages 1-5, and it’s not surprising if he wants to take a few days off at Christmas to spend time with his family, especially as his wife is battling cancer,” DeSantis spokesperson Christina Pushaw said. “I don’t criticize Biden for going to Rehoboth Beach all week, right?”

Pushaw said the governor has maintained a steady calendar of meetings and phone calls during the holiday break and is not “on vacation” as claimed by the left-wing politicians, media, and pundits.
