Two Winners to Split $632.6 Million Powerball Jackpot

TRENTON, NJ  – One California and one Wisconsin Lottery players split the $632.6 million Powerball jackpot from the Wednesday, January 5, drawing. This was the seventh largest Powerball jackpot on record.

In addition, one New Jersey Lottery ticket matched all five of the five white balls winning the $1,000,000 second-tier prize. That ticket was sold at Robin’s Convenience Store Deli & Grill, 1200 River Ave., Lakewood in Ocean County.

Moreover, four New Jersey Lottery tickets matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball drawn winning the $50,000 third-tier prize. The winning $50,000 tickets from Wednesday night’s drawing were sold at the following locations:


  • Monmouth County: Village Exxon, 46 Main St., Holmdel;
  • Passaic County: Rainbow Deli & Liquor, 292 Lakeview Ave., Clifton;
  • Passaic County: HTMK LLC, 122 8th St., Passaic; and,
  • Sussex County: E & T Food Market, 462 Riverstyx Rd., Hopatcong.

The winning numbers for the Wednesday, January 5, drawing were: 06, 14, 25, 33, and 46. The Red Power Ball number was 17. The Multiplier number was 02. 146,561 New Jersey players took home an estimated $725,551 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200. The Powerball jackpot resets to $20,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Saturday, January 8, at 10:59 pm.

Double Play Results

The Double Play drawing is an additional drawing for players who opted-in to the Double Play feature on their tickets. The Double Play drawing results for the Wednesday, January 5, drawing were: 23, 41, 56, 62, and 65. The Double Play Ball number was 04.
