Police investigating deadly shooting in Suitland

SUITLAND, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday in Suitland. The victim is 29-year-old Eric Branch-Simpson of no fixed address.  

On January 14, 2022, at approximately 3:00 pm, officers responded to the 4500 block of Silver Hill Road for a shooting. Once on scene, officers located Branch-Simpson outside in a parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.  

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify the suspect(s). A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
