On January 14, 2022, Columbus Police SWAT Officers arrested 19-year-old Laquan Stewart. Stewart has been charged with Murder for causing 20-year-old Kameron Guishard’s death.
On December 10, 2021, at 10:18pm, officers were dispatched to the 2300 Block of Century Dr. the report of a shooting. Officers arrived at scene and found the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. A civilian and first responding officers rendered aid to the victim until Columbus Fire Medic 18 arrived and transported the victim to Riverside Hospital, in critical condition. Despite receiving lifesaving medical treatment the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 11:05pm.
