Juvenile charged for shooting two in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA – Sacramento police officers responded to the area of 24th St / Florin Rd regarding a shooting. Several community members contacted us and reported that multiple individuals had been shot.

Upon their arrival, our officers located a male juvenile victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his foot. Officers rendered aid to the victim, who was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Our officers began an investigation into the incident, and located evidence related to the shooting. Our South Gang Enforcement Team (SGET) responded to assist with the investigation, and ultimately located the suspect vehicle in front of a residence. SGET Officers coordinated a plan to safely contact the individuals that were inside the residence. Through their investigation, officers identified a male juvenile subject from inside the residence as a suspect in the shooting and arrested him for related charges.

A short time later, a second male juvenile with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound arrived at an area hospital. Officers identified this second male juvenile as an additional suspect in the shooting. After receiving treatment, the second male juvenile was booked for related charges. A total of seven illegally possessed firearms were seized during the investigation.
