SALISBURY, MA – On Wednesday, members of the Massachusetts State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit, MSP Crime Scene Services Section, and Salisbury Fire and Police Departments conducted an examination of the scene of last weekend’s nine-alarm fire that destroyed five buildings along the ocean in that town. Investigators used heavy equipment to excavate the area of origin to identify potential ignition sources.
The cause of the fire remains to be determined pending continued investigation.
These scenes of the massive fire were taken by Newburyport Firefighter.
