Sheriff’s office investigating burglary, firearm theft in Miramar Beach

MIRAMAR BEACH, FL – The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in identifying the suspect in a vehicle burglary resulting in the theft of a firearm in Miramar Beach.

On January 22, 2022, Walton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a car burglary on Leeward Drive in Miramar Beach. The victim stated she noticed her Glock 43 was missing out of the center console of her vehicle.

At 11:27 p.m. on the night of January 20, a security camera across the street from the victim’s residence captured what appears to be a white male wearing black pants, a black hoodie, and black and white shoes approach the victim’s vehicle. After a few seconds, the suspect quickly walks back in the direction that he came. The vehicle was unlocked.
