WASHINGTON, D.C. – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a vehicle in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, January 27, 2022, in the 2100 block of North Capitol Street, Northwest.
At approximately 4:33 pm, members of the Third District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult female victim suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect vehicle, described as a white Mercedes-Benz bearing a Maryland tag, was captured by a nearby surveillance camera.
