UPPER MARLBORO, MD – Just weeks after the Biden Administration promised at home COVID-19 testing kits for every American, then buying $1.2 billion worth of masks from China, President Joe Biden is now touting a new “Made in America” policy.

Biden was in Upper Marlboro to talk about a new executive order that will protect union workers from the threat of cheaper labor overseas.

“It’s been an honor to be with the ironworkers of Local 5.  And we talk about — we talk about building a future that’s “made in America.”  We’re talking about you.  And this time we’re going to get it really correct,” Biden said after not getting it correct on the Chinese manufactured COVID-19 testing kits purchased through a Department of Defense contract.

Biden also confessed that the $1.2 billion facemask purchase was approved by his office.

China’s Andon Health Co Ltd has confirmed it has signed a contract worth $1.28 billion with the U.S. Army Contracting Command to supply COVID-19 self-test kits, according to Reuters. The U.S. Army Contracting Command signed the contract on behalf of the country’s Department of Health and Human Services, Andon Health said.

“As President of the United States, I award contracts.  And I’m now making it the case — and it’s working; it’s one of the reasons those jobs were up — is unless the product that I’m purchasing for the American people was made in America and all of its component parts are made in America, we ain’t buying it.  We’re just simply not buying it,” Biden said.
