In 2020, Joe Biden said he would lock down America to stop COVID-19, in 2022 Jen Psaki denied he said it

From his basement in Delaware during the 2020 Presidential Election, then-candidate Joseph R. Biden declared that he would lock down America if it meant stopping the spread of COVID-19. He also said a lot of other things, such as declaring he would never enforce a vaccine mandate. Then, he imposed a vaccine mandate.

“I would shut it down; I would listen to the scientists,” Biden told ABC’s David Muir in a joint interview in June of 2020 with his running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris. “We’re going to do whatever it takes to save lives.”

It wasn’t the only time he called for a lockdown. In March of 2020, he called for a nationwide lockdown. He called for a two week complete lockdown.

“The Democratic presidential candidate told CNN on Friday that he agreed with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates that the uneven patchwork of state and local lockdowns in effect in the United States will inevitably cost lives and prolong the economic catastrophe,” the L.A. Times said. “Former Vice President Joe Biden is calling for an immediate nationwide stay-at-home order to contain the spread of the coronavirus, saying the main mistake that leaders can make in a pandemic is going too slow.”

“Why would we not err on the side of making sure that we are not going to have a repeat?” Biden said from his home in Wilmington, Delaware, the L.A. Times reported.

When asked this week by reporters, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki lied to the American public and said Biden has never been pro lockdown.

“I would note that the president has been clear, we’re not pushing lockdowns,” Psaki said. “We’ve not been pro-locked down that has not been his agenda.”

Not only was Psaki’s claim of Biden never being in favor of lockdowns, she blatantly spread the misinformation to intentionally mislead the American public about the history and facts of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Psaki apparently is now living in some kind of an alternate reality.

While we can forgive the aging Joe Biden for forgetting what he said prior to this afternoon, it is unlikely Psaki, who remembers every question Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy ever asked her has forgotten about Biden’s past endorsement for federal COVID-19 lockdowns.
