CHULA VISTA, Calif. – This week, San Diego Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to San Clemente Station arrested an individual with an active felony warrant.

On Wednesday afternoon, Border Patrol agents on routine patrol stopped a vehicle on Interstate 15 near the Cristianitos Rd. exit.  Records check on the U.S. citizen driver revealed that he had an active felony warrant and was considered armed and dangerous. He was placed under arrest without incident.

While searching the vehicle, a loaded pistol and unassembled parts of an AR-15 rifle were found. Neither firearm had serial numbers.

The subject along with the two firearms were turned over to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for further investigation and possible prosecution.
