BRIDGETON, NJ – In the deep south of New Jersey lies a small town called Bridgeton, population 25,000. In 2016, a waitress from a Bridgeton restaurant claimed a city cop, Luis A. Santiago groped her many times between October and November. Santiago also made crude sexual comments to the waitress. He eventually lost his job and was sentenced to probation in 2019, but a civil case went forward. She filed the case in 2018 and now, a report by NJ.com says she was paid $100,000 by Bridgeton to settle the suit. The case of the groping Bridgeton cop is now complete.
