Bomb squad responds to bomb threat at New Jersey middle school

Pemberton, NJ – On Tuesday, at approximately 1:15 pm the Pemberton Township Police Department responded to the Helen Fort Middle School for a reported bomb threat. School faculty and members of the police department evacuated the school of all students and staff. The Joint Base Police K9 Unit as well as the New Jersey State Police Bomb Unit responded, cleared the school and found no threat. The investigation into the incident is on-going by the PTPD Criminal Investigations Division. Anyone with information is asked to call the Detective Bureau at (609)894-3310.
