U.S. Marshal Task Force Arrests Two Murder Suspects In One Day

Memphis, TN
– U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the arrest
of Todario Clemmons for Murder and Jaydevin Benson for Second Degree
Murder in two separate incidents.

On October 9, 2021, Gequais D.
Brown was shot to death in Southaven, Mississippi. On October 11, a
warrant for Murder was issued for Todario Clemmons by Southaven
Municipal Court.

On October 12, the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers
Violent Fugitive Task Force located Clemmons inside a residence at the
1400 block of Old Hickory Road in Memphis, Tennessee. He was taken into
custody without incident.


Also on October 12, Jaydevin Benson
was arrested by the Task Force. Benson had a warrant for his arrest out
of Shelby County for Second Degree Murder. Benson surrendered at the
Shelby County Detention Center to Task Force members.

The U.S.
Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task
force in the Western District of Tennessee with offices in Memphis and
Jackson. Its membership is composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby
County Sheriff’s Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County
Sheriff’s Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and Special Agents with the
Tennessee Department of Correction. The primary mission of the Task
Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
