70-year-old woman found shot dead during police welfare check

BALTIMORE, MD – A 70-year-old woman was found shot multiple times, dead in her Queensberry Avenue home Thursday morning. Police were dispatched to the home for a welfare check of the woman.

“On March 3, 2022, at approximately 10:09 a.m., Northwest District patrol officers were called to the 5000 block of Queensberry Avenue, in the rear, for a check the well-being call,” the department said. “Once there, officers located a 70-year-old female victim, unresponsive, with gunshot wounds.”

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
