D.C. Man Shot and Killed at Mall at Prince George’s

HYATTSVILLE, MD – A D.C. man, 22-year-old Daquan Dockery was shot and killed inside the Mall of Price George’s on Tuesday.

“The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is leading the investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred in the city of Hyattsville Friday evening,” the Prince George’s Police Department said. “The victim is identified as 22-year-old Daquan Dockery of Washington, DC. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime. “

According to a police report, on March 25, at approximately 6:30 pm, officers with the Hyattsville City Police Department and Prince George’s County Police Department responded to a shooting inside of the Mall at Prince George’s in the 3500 block of East-West Highway.

The victim was located inside of a store suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.


The suspect fled the scene.


A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
