GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – When a Gloucester parent was told by a young girl that an unknown man was taking pictures of her while she was walking from her bus stop, police were notified last Tuesday.

Gloucester Township Police said that at around 3:26 pm, officers responded to the area of Pine Glen Drive and Jarvis Road, in the Sicklerville section of Gloucester Township, for the investigation of a suspicious person who was taking pictures of a teenage juvenile female.

“The juvenile female was walking to the bus stop at the time the photographs were taken by the defendant. The juvenile observed the defendant taking pictures of her with his cell phone and alerted an adult, who was at the bus stop,” the department said. “The adult confronted the defendant and captured a photograph of the defendant’s license plate on the vehicle he was operating. The adult then contacted the police to report the incident. The vehicle was registered to the defendant, identified as Talal I. Aridi. The defendant was identified as a Megan’s Law Registrant out of Lindenwold.”

Police said during their investigation, Aridi was located, at his place of employment, by a Gloucester Township Police Detective.

“Through the investigative efforts, photographic evidence was located on the defendant’s cell phone pertaining to the investigation,” the department said.

He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, stalking, and harassment.
