Richmond Man Arrested for Trying to Sell 14 Pounds of Weed

RICHMOND, Ky– An investigation into a Richmond man suspected of trafficking large amounts of marijuana was arrested and charged on Friday. Police said Brentin Singleton, 31, had about 14 pounds of pot in his possession when officers moved in for their arrest.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office and Richmond County Police Department have issued the following statement:

Detectives with the Madison County Drug Task Force concluded an investigation on Friday, April 1, 2022, with the arrest of a Richmond man accused of trafficking marijuana.


The initial investigation alleges Brentin Singleton, 31 years old of Richmond, KY, was involved in trafficking large amounts of marijuana in Madison County. An investigation which began in March 2022 resulted in the seizure of approximately 14 pounds of processed marijuana. As a result, Singleton is charged with Trafficking in Marijuana (>5lbs) 1st offense. Singleton was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.

The Madison County Drug Task Force is an Appalachia HIDTA funded initiative comprised of Detectives from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Richmond Police Department, and the Kentucky State Police.
