COLUMBUS, OH – A man who had just murdered a 22-year-old after luring him for a planned robbery returned to the scene of the crime to turn himself in to police.

“Columbus Police said Wednesday, January, 27, 2021 at 7:36PM, Columbus Police Officers were called to the 4900 block of Aspen Pine Blvd. on a report of a disturbance inside the residence there. On arrival, officers found 22-year-old Tristan Foor suffering from apparent gunshot wounds,” the Columbus Police Department reported. “CFD Medic 34 responded to the scene and pronounced Foor deceased at 8:33PM. Shortly thereafter, officers who were guarding the scene were approached by 20-year-old Elias Malone. Malone admitted, when interviewed by detectives, to shooting and killing Foor.”

Now, the investigation has revealed 20-year-old Sydney Freshour lured Foor to the scene so that she and Malone could rob Foor. Detectives filed warrants charging Freshour with Murder and Aggravated Robbery for her role in causing Foor’s death. Subsequently, Freshour voluntarily turned herself in.

Malone, who was previously arrested, has been indicted for Murder, Tampering with Evidence and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. Malone remains incarcerated in the Franklin County Jail.
