ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – An Atlantic City man who was pulled over by police was later arrested for possession of a large quantity of drugs and driving while intoxicated.

On Tuesday, at 1:31 AM, Officer Joseph Kelly Jr. conducted a motor vehicle stop in the 100 block of North Ohio Avenue after observing the vehicle driving in an erratic manner.

“After the vehicle was stopped, it was also learned the registration to the vehicle was expired. The driver, Aki Bey, 46, displayed signs of impairment and was arrested after he failed field sobriety tests that were conducted by Officer Thomas Gilardi,” the Atlantic City Police Department said. “During a search, Officer Kelly located 563 wax folds of suspected heroin and various pills that included Oxycodone and Xanax. Bey was also in possession of $1,646 of US currency suspected to be proceeds of narcotics sales.”
