FAIRLAND, MD -A 57-year-old woman was shot in a home invasion last Monday in Fairland and now, police are asking the public for assistance with the crime.
“On Monday, April 11, 2022, at approximately 12:35 a.m., Montgomery County Police received a call for the sound of gunshots in the area of Stravinsky Terrace in Fairland. Shortly after, a second call went out for a residential burglary alarm in the 13200 block of Stravinsky Terrace,” police said. “When officers arrived on scene, they observed the front door to the Stravinsky Terrace residence open. An adult female was located inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound.”
The victim’s injuries prevent her from providing information to Major Crimes detectives, and they have been unable to determine whether anything has been stolen from the home. Several bullet holes were discovered in multiple locations of the victim’s home.
Detectives have canvassed the area but are asking the public to come forward if they may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the neighborhood that morning or in the days prior.
