PITTSBURGH, PA – Multiple shots were fired inside a clothing store during a shootout between two rival groups, but police say nobody was injured. An initial report claimed one female victim was struck, but no victims or evidence of an injury were found by police at the scene.

Pittsburgh Police from Zone 3 received a ShotSpotter notification for three rounds fired in the 2100 block of Wharton Street just before 3 p.m. As units arrived on the scene, all of the shooters involved had fled from the area.

“Initial reports indicated that a female had suffered a gunshot wound, but no victims have been reported at area hospitals,” police said. “Officers cleared one business whose windows had been shot out. Witnesses inside the store indicated that a shootout between patrons occurred when two males entered the clothing store and began shooting at two other males who were already inside and fired back.”

The two initial suspects reportedly fled the store in a silver sedan, while the two males who had been inside, fled out the back exit and down Carson Street.
