Suspicious Vehicle Investigation Leads to Drug Charges

BRANCHBURG Township, NJ (PRESS RELEASE)  – Acting Somerset County Prosecutor Annmarie Taggart, and Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives John W. Fodor announced the arrest of Steven J. Dolci, age 25, Hillsborough Township, New Jersey, after an investigation into a suspicious vehicle on Woodfern Road in Branchburg Township, New Jersey.

Acting Prosecutor Taggart stated that on Friday, April 22, 2022 at approximately 10:44 p.m. while conducting a property check on Woodfern Road a Branchburg Township Police Officer observed an unknown vehicle parked on the property. The officer observed that the vehicle was occupied, approached the vehicle and while speaking with the driver who was identified as Steven Dolci, the officer observed a white powdery substance on the center console which was suspected to be cocaine. Steven Dolci was arrested without incident.

Acting Prosecutor Taggart stated that defendant Dolci was charged with 3rd Degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and a motor vehicle summons for Possession of a Dangerous Substance in a motor vehicle. Defendant Dolci was later released on his own recognizance pending an appearance in Somerset County Superior Court.
