HOWARD COUNTY, MD – The Howard County Police Department has released the following police blotter incident briefs detailing calls for service this past weekend.

HCPD Daily Crime Bulletin, May 2, 2022

Weapon violation
Ellicott City, 21042: 
Route 40 & Route 29, April 30 8:23 p.m. 
An adult female victim reported that after a minor collision with another vehicle, a suspect in the other vehicle fired a shot striking her vehicle before fleeing. No one was injured. 


Commercial burglary
Ellicott City, 21042: 
Dae Jang Geum, 10100 Baltimore National Pike, April 30 11:30 p.m. 
An employee reported that a male suspect entered the restaurant after closing through an unlocked rear door. Nothing was reported stolen. 

Residential burglary
Columbia, 21044: 
5400 block of Bucksaw Court, April 29 
Unknown suspect(s) entered the residence by breaking a rear sliding glass door and stole cash and jewelry.

Theft from vehicle/vehicle break-in
Jessup, 20794: 
10500 block of Guilford Road, April 28-29 overnight, catalytic converter

Columbia, 21044: 5000 block of Columbia Road, April 29, tags

Elkridge, 21075: 6700 block of Iron Or, April 29-30 overnight, tires
6300 block of Ducketts Lane, April 30-May 1 overnight, two vehicles: unclear what, if anything, was stolen
