A Drive-Thru Chipotle Is Coming to Toms River

Jessica Woods

TOMS RIVER, NJ – The Toms River Planning Board has announced its approval of a drive-thru Chipotle restaurant at the intersection of Washington Street and Route 37. The company went before the board to approve a new 2,325 square foot restaurant that includes a new drive-thru pick-up lane, called a Chipotlane.

The restaurant will sit adjacent to the Toms River Diner and the attached car wash on the site of a former gas station.

The new Chipotlane concept came about for the company in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic, but now, the company has adopted the concept for several of its locations nationwide. The Chipotlane allows for customers to place digital orders ahead of time and pick them up at the drive-thru window.
