Springville Man Pleads Guilty to Manslaughter After Killing Another During Fight

SPRINGVILLE, NY – 23-year-old Tyler Rehrauer, also known as Tyler Lux-Rehrauer, of Springville, pleaded guilty this morning before State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller to one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree (Class “B” violent felony). The charges stem from a December 7, 2020 fight that took place at Rehrauer’s home.

According to police, on Monday, December 7, 2020, at approximately 2:20 a.m., the defendant and the victim were involved in a physical altercation outside the defendant’s home on Greenwood Place in the Village of Springville.The victim, 43-year-old Patrick Flynn, was critically injured during the fight. He later died at ECMC. The Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.

Rehrauer faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when he is sentenced on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. He remains released on $100,000 bail.
