Belligerent Woman Smashed Store Manager’s Cell Phone, Punched Him, Stole Soda and Fled

COLUMBUS, OH – When Karen was approached by the store manager, she wasn’t happy. A woman who was caught trying to steal some items from a store on Cleveland Avenue in the Linden area of the city and became belligerent with the store manager who confronted her.

The incident happened last week and when approached by the manager and asked to leave, the suspect became belligerent, the Columbus Police Department said.

“The manager took out his phone to call the police and the suspect grabbed the phone and smashed it on the ground,” the department said in a report. “As the manager bent over to retrieve the phone, the suspect pushed him to the ground, grabbed two cases of soda and fled the store.”
