Man Critically Wounded in Shooting in Southeast, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a shooting (Assault with intent to kill) that took place on May 3rd. This incident happened on the 700 Block of Brandywine Street in Southeast, D.C. Police are seeking assistance in identifying a suspect involved in the shooting.

According to detectives, “At approximately 9:08 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.”

A nearby surveillance camera caught the suspect.
