Suspicious Package Near Willingboro Town Hall Forces Shelter in Place

WILLINGBORO – A small package located in the parking lot across the street from the Willingboro town hall caused a shelter in place at the nearby J.A. Cotten School on Wednesday.

According to police, at approximately 10:41am, we received a report of a suspicious package in the parking lot across the street from the Municipal Building. The J.A. Cotten School and surrounding areas were put in a shelter in place for precautionary measures. After a short period of time, the investigation determined the package to be harmless and the shelter in place was lifted.
