Attempted Homicide Arrest Made in West Chester

WEST CHESTER, PA- Last Wednesday patrol officers from the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department responded to reports of a disturbance at Valley Drive in East Goshen Township.

“A patrol officer quickly arrived on location and was flagged down by a male in the parking lot that was bleeding heavily from his head and upper body,” said police. “The male advised police that he was just stabbed by a male inside his apartment after an argument. Officers observed several lacerations and stab wounds on the victim’s head and back.” The victim was transported to Paoli Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Upon entering the apartment police found Robert Baynard with fresh blood on his clothing and a laceration to his thumb. The suspect was taken into custody and then transported to Chester County Prison for arraignment. He is facing five charges, including attempted homicide and aggravated assault.
