Victim Finds Suspect in His Car And Struggles To Grab his Gun In D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a Assault With a Dangerous Weapon offence which took place yesterday, May 24th. This incident happened on the 1800 block of Bruce Place in Southeast, D.C.

According to investigators, “At approximately 12:10 am, the victim observed the suspect seated inside of their vehicle at the listed location. When the victim confronted the suspect, the suspect produced a firearm. A struggle ensued and the victim was able to disarm the suspect. The suspect fled the scene. A firearm was recovered. There were no injuries.”

Nearby surveillance cameras captured the suspect.
