Millersville ‘Wi-fi Inspector’ Assaulted Man, Stole His Phone

Millersville, MD – When Stefan Ricardo Bennie, 21, identified himself as a ‘wi-fi inspector’ to a woman at home in the 600 block of Caracle Court in Millersville, she became suspicious and alerted her husband. When her husband confronted Bennie, he smashed him with a rock and stole his cell phone.

Police said on Monday, at approximately 2:30 p.m., officers responded to a robbery call in the 600 block of Caracle Court in Millersville.

“A homeowner observed a suspicious male who identified himself as a wifi inspector. The homeowner asked her husband to confront the male, and when he did, the suspect struck him with a rock and took his cell phone,” police said. “The suspect fled. Responding officers located the suspect, who was arrested and charged accordingly.”


Police were able to catch Bennie and charge him for his crime.
