Philadelphia Police Searching for Armed Carjackers Who Held Victim at Knifepoint

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Police in Philadelphia are asking the public to help them identify a pair of attempted car jackers who held up a motorist at knifepoint but were unsuccessful last week.

On June 6, 2022, at approximately 4:00 PM, the victim, a 44-year-old male, was in the 1000 block of Spring Garden St when two unknown black males attempted to take his vehicle at knifepoint. After the victim resisted, the suspects fled and were last seen north on Broad St. Nothing was taken, and no injuries were reported.

One suspect was identified as a black male in his teens, thin build, puffy hair, wearing all black clothing. The second suspect, also a black male in his teens, thin build, wearing a black hat and a black jacket with multi-color stripes on the sleeves.
