Rockland County Mourns Loss of Italian Market Owner Killed in Freak Palisades Parkway Accident

WEST HAVERSTRAW, NY – The Rockland County community lost a good man this weekend when Anthony Apostolico, owner of the Italian Food Center in West Haverstraw, was killed in a crash on the Palisades Parkway on Sunday.

Apostolico, 48, was a resident of Chester and well known throughout the Rockland community through his Italian Food Center, which he has owned and operated for over 30 years.

He was killed and two others in his vehicle were injured when a tree fell on their 2018 Ford F-150 as it headed north on Palisades Parkway south of exit 16.
