Post Office Seizes Mail Order LSD Shipment Headed for Ocean County, Arrests Made

STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ – Stafford Township Police today announced the arrests of three men in connection to a scheme to ship LSD and illegal steroids through the U.S. Postal Service into Ocean County.

This month, the Stafford Township Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit {DEU} was contacted by the United States Postal Service Inspectors about three packages that were seized by the U.S. Customs Border Patrol and Protection Division.

“The packages were determined to contain a quantity of Steroids and LSD. The three packages were scheduled be delivered to three separate residences in Stafford Township. With that information, the Stafford Township Police Department’s DEU was able to secure three search warrants for the residences in Stafford Township,” police reported today.

According to police, on June 7, the DEU arrested James Balady, 55 years old of Parker Street, Manahawkin, N.J. Balady was charged with six counts of Possession of CDS – Steroids. He was processed and released,

Then, on June 16, there were two separate arrests. The first involved Jason Benko, 18 years old of Hudson Street, Manahawkin. He was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS – LSD. He was processed and released.

The second arrest involved Andrew Garcia-Villiez 32 years old of Driftwood Avenue, Manahawkin, N.J. He was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS – Steroids. He was processed and released as well.
