Watch: New Jersey Cops Rescue Man from Burning Vehicle

RIDGEFIELD, NJ – A Fort Lee man was pulled from his burning vehicle by two Ridgefield police officers early Saturday morning. The incident happened when an electrical problem sparked a fire in 55-year-old Christopher Vagnone’s Honda Accord in the parking lot of the Mavis Discount Tire Center on Route 46.

Police were alerted to the fire at around 2 a.m., according to Ridgefield Police Chief Joseph Rella.

Police officers Nicholas D’Alto and Anthony D’Elia were the first to arrive on the scene and proceeded to pull Vagnone from his burning vehicle. The entire event was captured on the officer’s body camera.
