Boaters Rescued After Party Boat Ran Aground in Sheepshead Bay

NEW YORK, NY – A weekend party out on Sheepshead Bay ended when a party boat loaded with revelers ran aground on a sand bar in Mill Creek on Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn.

The New York City Fire Department’s Marine 3 and Marine 8 patrol boats responded to the scene and found the boat tilted and grounded in the water, stuck in shallow water.

Firefighters rescued 20 stranded passengers and transported them safely to sure. No charges were filed and no boating violations were issued.
