70-Year-Old Man Suffers Fractured Hip During Board Daylight Robbery in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA – An elderly Philadelphia man suffered a fractured him during a fall after he was robbed in broad daylight in the city last week.

According to police, on July 15, at approximately 2:20 pm, the victim, a 70-year-old-male, was inside a store on the 13xx block of W. Girard Avenue and when he left, he was approached by an unknown black male who grabbed him from behind and took approximately $75 from his hand.

“This caused the complainant to lose his balance and fall fracturing his hip. After taking the victim’s money the suspect fled and was last seen east towards Watts Street. The victim was transported to Pennsylvania hospital by Medic,” police said.
