Lodi Man who Firebombed Business Charged for Arson

LODI, NJ – Lodi Police arrested 42-year-old Andy Pena after he threw what appears to be Molotov cocktails at a business on July 19th.

According to a police report, “On Monday, July 19, the Lodi Police Department received information from a local establishment regarding suspicious fire damage on their exterior roof. First responders arrived on scene and observed approximately three large, burned areas on the roof along with several broken glass bottles.”

A police investigation determined in the early morning hours of July 8, Pena intentionally set the fire by using glass bottles as hand-thrown incendiary weapons, causing fire damage to the roof of a commercial establishment.


He was charged with arson, aggravated arson, possession of a weapon and attempt to cause widespread injury or damage.

“The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, and the Lodi Police Department under the direction of Chief Donald Scorzetti,” the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said.
