3 Year-Old, 13 Year-Old Shot in Northeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a double shooting involving two children that took place last night in Northeast D.C. The shooting happened on the 700 Block of 18th Street last night.

In a press conference at the scene last night Captain Augustine described the events that took place. After responding to a call for the shooting at approximately 9pm, Augustine said, “Upon arrival they found two gun shot victims; one a 13 year-old male, and the other a 3 year-old female. The 3 year-old female is suffering from a graze wound. Both injuries we believe are non-life threatening and both victims have transported to the hospital for treatment. We have no known suspect right now.”

A vehicle of interest is a dark Nissan with tinted windows, last seen northbound in the 700 block of 18th Street. Preliminary investigation shows the two children were shot outside.
