July Columbus Murder Suspect Arrested

COLUMBUS, OH – A man wanted for a July murder in the Milo-Grogan neighborhood has been identified as police arrested Dwann Joseph Anderson for the killing.

According to police, on July 21st, at 10:16 p.m., patrol officers were dispatched to the 700 Block of St. Clair Avenue on a shooting.

“Upon arrival, they located the victim, Tyreece Jefferson, in the rear of this location suffering from a gunshot wound,” the Columbus Police Department reported. “The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Despite receiving life-saving treatment, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 10:41 p.m. Initial information obtained indicates the victim was involved in an altercation with the suspect, which led to the shooting.”
