Man Shot and Killed in Parking Lot of Takeout Restaurant in Seat Pleasant

SEAT PLEASANT, MD – A 20-year-old man was shot and killed in a carryout restaurant parking lot in Seat Pleasant on Sunday.

According to the Prince George’s County Police Department, “Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Sunday morning in Seat Pleasant. The victim is 20-year-old LaDainain McMillan of Seat Pleasant.”

A police report said that at approximately 1:00 am, patrol officers with the Seat Pleasant Police Department and Prince George’s County Police Department were called to 5700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway for a shooting.

“Once on scene, officers discovered McMillan unresponsive in the parking lot of a carryout restaurant suffering from gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead,” police said.

At this time, detectives are working to identify a suspect as this shooting may have been an escalation of a verbal dispute between McMillan and another individual.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
