BRICK, NJ – Police in Brick had a twist of fate after they arrived for a landlord-tenant dispute at a property in town.

On Friday, officers were called to a landlord-tenant dispute involving a potential theft of property. Street Crimes Unit Detectives located the suspect’s vehicle and identified the driver as Christopher Sherrill (45 years old from Brick).

“As Officers approached him Sherril attempted to toss a glass pipe containing crystal methamphetamine and resisted Officers’ attempts to place him under arrest,” police said. “In addition to the pipe, Sherrill was found to possess four different types of pills and drug paraphernalia.”

Sherril was charged with three counts of possession of a CDS, two counts of possession of a prescription legend drug, resisting arrest, hindering apprehension, possession of paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, and motor vehicle violations. He was processed and released on a summons.
