Buffalo Man Gets 11 Years for Abusing Child

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 28-year-old Mohamed Nasir, also known as “Cash,” of Buffalo was sentenced on Wednesday morning before State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller to 18 years to life in prison. He will be required to register as a sex offender upon his release.

Between on or about December 22, 2020 and December 24, 2020, the defendant, being older than 18-years-old, engaged in sexual conduct with a child who was less than 11-years-old. The crime occurred at a residence in the City of Buffalo. The defendant was known to the victim.

On July 28, 2022, Nasir was found guilty of one count of Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child (Class “A-II” felony). The defendant was convicted of the highest sustainable charge in the indictment against him. Jurors rendered their decision after less than three hours of deliberation following a three-day trial.
