Pittsburgh Police searching for suspect who threatened to shoot employee at Burlington Coat Factory

PITTSBURGH, PA – the Pittsburgh Police Department is searching for a suspect who drew a gun and threatened to shoot a store employee at the Burlington Coat Factory after he was caught stuffing clothing into a backpack.

According to police, on August 29, at 11:07 a.m., Zone 2 officers were called to 339 6th Avenue – Burlington Coat Factory – for an armed robbery report.

“A female employee observed a male stuffing clothing into his backpack without paying for the items. He was asked to remove the items and leave the store. As he was leaving, he reportedly pulled a firearm from his pocket and pointed it at another employee, threatening to shoot him,” The Pittsburgh Police Department said in a press release today.


The suspect in the photos is described as 5’10 and between 16-25 years of age.
