Man Shot Multiple Times Overnight in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD – A 44-year-old Baltimore man was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds overnight. Today, the Baltimore Police Department is continuing its investigation into that shooting. Police said the victim was shot by two black men we’re attempting to rob him as he sat inside his car.

As the victim fled the scene of the attempted robbery in his car, the men fired multiple shots at his vehicle striking him several times.

At approximately 1:07 a.m., patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting investigation.

“Once at the hospital, officers located a 44-year-old male victim suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the body, being treated for non-life-threatening injuries,” police said. “Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was sitting in his vehicle in the 5200 block of Fairlawn Avenue. When two black male suspects approach the victim and attempted to rob him. As the victim drove off, one of the suspects fired at the vehicle striking the victim, the victim then drove himself to a nearby hospital.”

According to police investigating the incident, no suspects or motives have been announced at this time. No arrests have been made.
